A Tribute to John Stabb
Boycott Death
By David Ensminger

Government Issue singer John Schroeder (aka Stabb) refused to play the punk rock game. Known to wear lengthy tube socks or groovy 1970s thrift store ware, he taunted audiences by being the epitome of uncool. His sardonic vocals and quick wit thrived alongside the bracing guitar compiled effortlessly by wall-of-sound Tom Lyle. Sadly, Stabb died a few days ago after a harrowing bout of stomach cancer.
