I WALK THE LINE:
Desolation Street: CD
Despite the name, this isn’t a Johnny Cash tribute band. In this case, it’s a rock’n’roll punk band from Finland. This isn’t psychobilly (the lyrics are more often about heart-break and overcoming adversity than zombies), but because of the accents and Gretschy-sounding guitars, the album sits comfortably in the space between the Nekromantix and Social Distortion. This isn’t life changing or all that unique, but it’s probably a good album to throw on when all your pompadoured friends over and aren’t in the mood for something with a lot of upright bass breakdowns.
–Adrian (Gearhead)
