This is the second library-related zine I came across, the first being Library Bonnet. This one just left a nasty taste in my mouth. (Fuck you, Dale.) Similarly to Library Bonnet, Ghosts tells the stories of the many interesting characters that come through the library on a regular basis. Ghosts seems to take a slightly haughty approach to this. All the instances seem to be looked on from a cold and condescending perspective. They introduce the zine with a Cast of Characters that pigeonholes a woman suffering from the effects of a stroke as “B-O-B,” Bitter Old Bitch. Instead of funny anecdotes of the craziness that comes with working with the public, Ghosts follows their “characters” through a variety of situations which in the end made me feel sorry for the characters and disappointed in the author. –Megan (Love Bunni Press, 2622 Princeton Rd, Cleveland Hights, OH 44118)
