Nothing Says Rich Like Golf Clubs: CD
An immediate “quirky Killers derivative” blow-off might be understandable, but you’ll find a host of stuff imbedded in there—‘70s-era Kinks, Bowie, Pilot, maybe even a little ELO—if you scratch a little harder at the top skin layer. The tunes are catchy with enough quirk to give ’em a little edge and they’re well played, which is pretty much all you can ask for.
