Intentionally Bad Capitalists
A recorded discussion between Todd and Sean.
By Staff Tuesday, September 04 2012

In this hour-long podcast, Todd and Sean step out from behind the shelter of aggressive music and discuss the tenets of what they believe to be the backbone and operational beliefs of Razorcake. Discussion sways between freedom, democracy, Jason Willis, The Exploited, and Hasil Adkins.
Much like punk rock, Razorcake can mean something different to many different people. Todd explains this by stating, “Razorcake is a music magazine, Razorcake is not a music magazine, Razorcake is both.” Razorcake is truly independent media, with an approach to punk that’s closer to a thought process than just another state of mind. There’s no obligation to what we choose to cover, or to any stakeholders. Our sole obligation is to quality coverage, and the only people we might ever have to answer to is the readers. And if there’s anybody we’re sympathetic to; it’s our readers. We’re built from our readers. Everyone’s involvement with Razorcake is based on a deep, passionate interest in the coverage.
This is where punk essentially breaks down the barriers. The musician and the audience, the writer and the reader. It’s Razorcake’s goal to see that these barriers don’t get built back up; that DIY music is preserved for the future, and appreciated in the present day. All within an ethical, fair framework. This is Razorcake’s story.

To download the file to your computer, right click the link below and select "save target as..." It's a hefty file, so it may take some time to download to your computer. To play the file without downloading (it depends on your computer's configuration for playing music files), just click it. Your media player should recognize what to do with an mp3. (If it doesn't, you're on your own.)
